“A” Is For Achieve Print

Highlights:

We share the goal of parents to make their children’s dreams come true through education

We instill in our Scouts a love of learning

Our Scout Programs are an informal educational platform that provides our Scouts opportunities to acquire new skills as well as develop self-confidence, determination, and good character.

Academics are extremely important in the life of youth.  We want our Scouts to be able to make all their dreams come true.  We share the goal of parents and educators to improve the academic performance of youth.  two girls studying together

We instill in our Scouts a love of learning and an appreciation that their choices today will determine their future tomorrow.  We help our Scouts become people who are trustworthy, respectful, honest, caring, and responsible.  Our Scouts acquire creative and critical thinking skills, adopt good study habits, and become resourceful, confident people.  We strive to bring into closer relationship the goals of home and school and help parents and educators work together for the benefit of youth.  We believe all youth deserve a well-rounded education and a safe, happy life in which they are free to pursue and explore their unique talents and their own adventures.

In our “A” is for Achieve Program, local stores and restaurants give incentivboy studyinges to our Scouts who are high achievers academically.  Our Scouts whose grades improve noticeably or have consistently high grades will be given a coupon book with coupons redeemable for special deals within the community.

Team Counselors approach community businesses about this incentive for our Scouts in their area.  It is good for our Scouts and good for local businesses to show they care about the youth in their community.

In a ceremony, Scouts who have earned the “A’ is for Achieve Program award are recognized.  Parents, friends, and their fellow Scouts are invited to watch the Scout be honored by their Team Leader.  When possible, presentations involve community educators.
